ONTARS will celebrate 53 years of service to the amateur
community Wednesday 8th January 2025.
As net manager for the last 17 years, I was presented
with organization and technical
challenges. Thanks to those who helped with programming
and technical assistance.
I am responsible for the daily website updates, graphic
banner creation,
posting of event pictures, hamfest banner event promotions,
club newsletter posting and website maintenance.
Silent Key reporting to the Government of Canada is handled
as necessary.
The yearly website funding, support hardware/software
are covered by myself.
Our websites are running on dedicated servers, where
we pay up front yearly fees.
I program/support/finance the following sites:
ONTARS.COM
Sandbox Round Table Net
Trans Provincial Net
Trans Canada 20 meter net
Laurentian Net
Thanks to the generosity of the various amateur clubs,
individuals
and corporate sponsors, the task is worth the daily time
spent.
The new Swap Shop did come with a programming cost.
In the past we have never asked, but in response to
the various requests, please consider a small donation. E-Trans works well or via the info on QRZ.COM
