Hello to all from Doug, VE3VS and Rob, VA3RBM

We are pleased to announce that we have activated and made enough contacts (26) with stations in
Canada and the USA to qualify Narrows Island, (FN04dt66) near the outlet of
Gloucester Pool on the Trent-Severn waterway.   Narrows Island – ON-298

Co-ordinataes are 44 deg 49.03N and 079 deg 41.34W.  Propagation on the 40 metre band was very challenging,
to say nothing of the various nets operating from 7.250 through 7.260.
Next time we will select a different band of frequencies.

We are really pleased to further announce that we have activated and made enough contacts
( 38 ) with stations in Canada and the USA to qualify
Darling Island, (FN04dt75) nearby to Narrows Island.
Co-ordinates are 44deg 48.99 N and 079 deg 41.195 W.     Darling Island – ON-299
Operators were Doug,VE3VS and Rob, VA3RBM
